WHO WE ARE
This policy explains how Aurora Balance Coaching ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you visit aurorabalancecoaching.com, book a call, or join one of our courses.
Aurora Balance Coaching is run by Chris Cameron, a sole trader registered in the UK, who is responsible for your personal information. You can contact us at aurorabalancecoaching@gmail.com with any question about this policy or your information.
We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU GDPR where it applies, and Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY
When you book a free call
We collect your name, email address, time zone and anything you choose to tell us, so we can arrange and hold the call. Lawful basis: steps you ask us to take before a contract.
When you buy the course or a session
We collect your name, email address, billing details and purchase record, so we can deliver what you bought and keep our accounts. Lawful basis: contract, and our legal obligation to keep tax records.
During 1:1 calls
You may share information about your health or wellbeing. We use this only to tailor your practice and support you through the course. Lawful basis: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
When you email or message us
We use your messages to reply to you. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
When you visit the website
We collect browsing data such as pages visited, device, browser and approximate location, to run the site, understand visits and measure our adverts. Lawful basis: your consent through the cookie banner, except for strictly necessary cookies.
We do not sell your personal information. We never use what you share about your health for advertising.
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
COOKIES AND THE META PIXEL
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working. All other cookies (analytics and advertising) are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link on the site.
We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). If you accept advertising cookies, it lets Meta record visits to our site and when a call is booked. We use this to measure our adverts and show them to people likely to be interested. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you, under Meta's Privacy Policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/). You can also manage ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.
SERVICES WE SHARE DATA WITH
We only share your information with the service providers we need to run the business:
Squarespace - hosts our website, runs our online store and checkout, and provides site analytics.
Calendly - takes and manages call bookings.
Google Meet - hosts our 1:1 calls.
Stripe - processes card payments. We never see your full card details.
Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram) - advertising and the Meta Pixel, as described above.
Google (YouTube) - hosts our videos and advertising.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Some of our providers store data outside the UK, the EU and Thailand, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses approved for international transfers.
HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
Booking details for people who don't join: up to 12 months after the call.
Client records and anything shared on calls: for the length of the course, then up to 12 months.
Purchase and payment records: up to 6 years, for tax and accounting.
Cookie and analytics data: as set by each provider. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Ask us to limit how we use it, or object to our use of it
- Ask for your information in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent at any time, including for cookies and for anything you have shared about your health
To use any of these rights, email aurorabalancecoaching@gmail.com. We will reply within one month.
COMPLAINTS
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), your local data protection authority if you live in the EU, or Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
